Questions about payment requests

What is a payment request?

A link to a pay page for an amount you set, or one the payer chooses. You share the link, your customer pays with iDEAL, Bancontact or card, and you see the payment in your PayMe dashboard.

Can I send a payment request to a whole group?

Yes. Import your contacts from a CSV file (up to 1,000 per file) or add them by hand, then request up to 500 people in one batch. Everyone gets a personal link, and you track per person who has paid.

How do my customers receive the link?

You share it from your dashboard: copy the link, open WhatsApp with the link ready, send it from your own email, or use the QR code. PayMe does not send messages on your behalf.

Which payment methods can my customers use?

iDEAL, Bancontact and cards such as Maestro, Visa, Mastercard and American Express.

What does a payment request cost?

There are no monthly fees. You pay per successful payment: €0.30 for iDEAL, and the same rates as our terminals for cards, from €0.10 for a debit card.

Can I change how the pay page looks?

Yes. Choose one of six styles or your own colours, pick a font, add your logo and a cover image, ask up to 20 questions of your own and decide what happens after payment.

How long does a payment link stay valid?

You choose between one hour and 60 days; the default is 14 days. You can change the expiry afterwards, which also reopens an expired request.

Do I need a website or a developer?

No. You create and share payment requests from your PayMe dashboard. The pay page is hosted by PayMe.
